Copying information forward from a previous period

Sometimes you may want to add to your notes from the last period when you’re doing your updates in ClearPoint. You can easily copy information from one period to another for individual fields, elements, or your entire scorecard.

Copy forward an individual field or element

To start, make sure that you are in the period that you would like to copy updates into. Click the edit Pencil icon on a manage elements page or a detail page to open the Edit window. A new window will appear.

Click the teal copy forward all icon to copy all update data from the previous period into the current period. A new window will appear. The copy forward all action will not overwrite information that is already in update fields. Click Copy Forward.

Your previous period’s data will now appear! Make any additions and changes and click Save.

On an element detail page you can copy forward the information for an individual field by double clicking in the field to edit it and clicking the blue copy forward icon. The copy forward action for an individual field will overwrite information that is already in that field.

Copy forward information for a scorecard

Navigate to the Manage Scorecards page.

Click the teal copy forward icon next to the scorecard for which you would like to copy data. Choose the period you would like to pull data from and the period you would like to copy the data into. Next, select the elements you would like to copy and the data types you would like to copy. Click Copy Forward. You will receive an email with a list of the elements that were copied forward once complete.  Please note this may take a few minutes if you are updating many elements.
