Setting your home page in ClearPoint

Want to always land on a specific page when logging into ClearPoint? You can set any page as your home page easily. Here’s how.

In This Article

Setting your own home page

You can set any report or detail page in ClearPoint as your home page. To set your home page, click on the dropdown arrow next to the star icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Select Set As Home.

Note: When you log into ClearPoint, this will be the first page you see. When you click Home in the control panel, you will be brought to this page.

Setting other users’ home page

As an Admin, you may want to control what page users log into.  For example, your organization’s main strategy report may be exactly what you want them to see, every time they log in.  You can never get enough strategy!  Alternatively, you may prefer to have your users always log into their My Updates page so they can get right to making their updates (on time this month!).  There are a couple methods for setting another user’s home page.

Setting other users’ home page from a report or detail page

Administrators can bulk set users’ home page from any report or detail page in ClearPoint. Next to the star icon at the top right, click on the dropdown arrow. Select Bulk Set Home Page.

Select users to set this page as their home page. Click Save.

Note: Only users that have access to the page will appear as options in the Bulk Set Home Page window.

Setting other users’ home page from Users and Groups

Administrators can manage users’ home page from Users and Groups. Open System Settings in the control panel and click on Users and Groups.

On the Users and Groups page, edit a user by clicking on the pencil icon next to the user’s name. Click on the Scorecards and Home tab. Click on the edit icon under Home Page. Select Yes on the Please Save To Continue message. Use the dropdown menus to select the home page for the user. Click Save to set the home page. Click Save.

Note: Only scorecards and pages that the user has access to will appear in the Set Home Page window.

Prevent users from setting their home page

Administrators can prevent users from changing their home page in Organization and Security. Open System Settings in the control panel and click on Admin Options.

Click on Organization and Security.

Under the Options tab, click on Prevent Users From Changing Home Page. When finished, click Save.

Note: All users except Administrators will not be able to change their home page.
