Entering data directly on the detail page
From a measure detail page, navigate to the data table and select the cell where data should be entered. Type in the value. The Tab button on the keyboard can be used to move from cell-to-cell or different cells can be clicked into. Once complete entering data, click the save icon.
Entering data from the ‘Update Data’ tab in the edit window
From a measure detail page, click on the pencil icon. Once the window opens, click on the Update Data tab. Click into a cell to enter data. Type in the value. The Tab button on the keyboard can be used to move from cell-to-cell or different cells can be clicked into. When finished entering data, click Save.
Copying and pasting data from excel
‘Ctrl+V’ Shortcut
In Excel, begin by selecting the range of data that you would like to paste into ClearPoint. Hit Ctrl+C or right-click and select Copy to copy your data.
In your measure data table, single click onto the cell(s) where you would like to paste the data from Excel. Hit either Ctrl+V or right-click and select Paste to enter your data values. Click the Save icon to save the data table.
Paste Transpose
In Excel, begin by selecting the range of data that you would like to paste into ClearPoint. Hit Ctrl+C or right-click and select Copy to copy your data.
In your measure data table, double click into the cell(s) where you would like to paste the data from Excel. Right-click and select Paste From Excel. A new window will appear.
Click into the Paste From Excel window and press Ctrl+V to paste your data. Next, select Paste Transposed.
Your transposed data will now appear in your data table. If the data is correct, click Save.
